Né à Vevey en 1964, il a vécu toute sa jeunesse à Clarens/Montreux et c’est peut-être pour cela que Manuel MICHEL a une prédilection pour l’eau.
Il découvrit la peinture au travers d’une oeuvre de Claude Monet
” Le Ponton Japonais” au National Gallery, lors d’un sejour a Londres, et qu’il prit conscience du besoin intérieur de créer.

He discovered painting through a work by Claude Monet
“The Japanese Bridge” at the National Gallery during a stay in London, and it was then that he became aware of his inner need to create.
